Hello. Not sure if this has been asked before or not. Sorry if it has. It's my understanding that you can renew your FLRM visa 28 days before it expires. Are these 28 days working days or just days in general?

Thanks in advance.

Also, do note that the date of application for FLR(M) is dependent on the length of time you've spent in the UK on a spouse visa, not the expiry date (they won't always align, especially if your spouse visa was issued before BRPs were rolled out). You can renew up to 28 days before your 30-month 'anniversary' of your arrival in the UK on a spouse visa. So count forward 30 months from the date you entered the UK as a spouse, then back 28 days.

Extremely useful tool: https://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

She first entered the country in November 2014, but that was on a fiancé visa. We had the spouse/FLRM visa granted and issued in April 2015. Adding 30 months onto that date gives you October 2017.

In that case, she counts from the date she received the spouse visa (April 2015). So if she got her spouse visa on (for instance) 15th April, +30 months would be 15th October, and she could apply starting from 17th September
