Renewing a PR

Hi can someone let me know whats the process to renew an existing PR while we are in Australia.My husband's PR is expiring in Sept 2013 and he has been in Aus for the last 07 months only.What does he need to do to renew the same and for how long wil her get it?

If you are in Australia you don't need to renew PR. It is an indefinite leave to remain while you in Australia. However if you planning to travel overseas you need to apply for return resident visa RRV.
