Hello,

I am an Indian citizen. I am going on a dependent visa to Paris along with Husband who be undertaking his higher studies there for 1.5 yrs. I am aware that I cannot legally work there without a work permit.
However my company in Europe is exploring an option where i work remote from Paris as an Independent contractor and be paid in INR (as I cannot work under dependent pass). So can I pursue this option without many troubles? And also what kind of tax implications I need to consider.

Thanks

Lots of folks work remotely back in their home countries while in France for a limited stay. It's not completely legal, but some folks have asked the tax office, and have been told just to go ahead and do it and not bother to report it.

You have to decide what works for you - but I'd be very sure that you have any and all requisite insurances that your visa requires (mainly health coverage).
Cheers,
Bev
