Reliable Link or Alternative to Book TIE Renewal Fingerprint Appointment

I was advised to renew my five-year Spanish residence permit (Brexit Withdrawal Agreement TIE) by booking an appointment for fingerprints, and I was given a link to do so.

When I went to the official page, I got this notice:

“We inform you that starting Thursday, September 11, access to the Electronic Office will be through: https://mptmd.sede.gob.es”

However, when I tried to connect to that link, it didn’t work. Instead I got this error:

“This site can’t be reached. icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es took too long to respond. ERR_TIMED_OUT.”

My questions are:

1. Is there a reliable working link I can use to make the appointment? (Preferably someone could test it before sharing, because I’ve already tried several links and none worked.)

2. If no online link is working, is there a way to book the appointment over the phone or by another method?

3. What alternative options do we have to complete the TIE renewal and fingerprinting process?

The link works for me. Are you attempting to access the page from outside of Spain? Sometimes webpages require you to be in-country. Try using a VPN, if that's the case for this one. You will only be able to make an appointment by using the webpage. Either that, or you can hire a gestor to do it for you.

Here's another link that takes you directly to the foreigner's page. https://icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es/icpplus/index.html

Thank you very much for your reply and for providing the link. I tried it and it works perfectly even though when I got to the end there were no appointments available, and I guess I have to keep trying or use Clave Pin and I have just requested to register for it.

Sorry to trouble you again, but I just wanted to check about the requirements for the fingerprints appointment since you have done it. I was told that one of the documents needed is a favorable decision from the immigration authority (I guess this doesn't apply under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement and no application is required when the 5 years residence permit expires). Do I really need this? I ask because, under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement, I was told that no prior approval is required to renew my 5-year residence permit.

Also, could you confirm if the fee (Modelo 790 – Code 012) can be paid online and a receipt obtained to preseht, or must it be done physically at a bank?

Thanks again for your kind help.
