hi all,

I am having following query about class 176 PR

I want to apply for Australia PR and I am eligible for 176 Class.
I have a direct relative who is ready to sponsor my PR.

I wanted to know that is it mandatory to stay and work for sometime in the same state where my relative stays or i can work in any state in Australia after getting PR.

Regards,
Puneet

There is no longer any point in applying for a family sponsored 176 visa. Since the July 2011 changes family sponsorship offers no more points and the application is treated at the same speed as a 175 visa.

Hi Puneet

I am sorry to say that now 176 family sponsership visa doesn't exist anymore. You can try for 175 visa.

Hi Puneet;
Unfortunately you cannot claim any points if your relative is sponsoring you..
Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176)

You can be sponsored by a relative IF you are not in a position to be nominated by a State/Territory govt...

This is the rule and its very absurd...:confused:

I mean what is the meaning if you cannot claim any points for your sponsorship...
It beats any logic...
