Regarding receiving the 13th or 14th months' salaries

Hello!

My CDI contract says: "Le présent contrat est régi par les dispositions de la Convention Collective Nationale des Etam et Cadres du Syntec (N°1486)". By this link-https://www.connexionfrance.com/Archive/Understanding-work-contracts, I see that then I should get at least a 13th month's salary (in December)? My question is: is it sure that I will? I've "statut Cadre, Position 2.3, coefficient 150." at a startup.

Should I also get a 14th month's salary in June?

I think we can ask directly to the employer about this, right? The reason I ask this here is I don't want to come off as greedy, but I think one should be clear what (s)he is getting.

If the convention collective calls for a 13th month, then you'll receive that at the end of the year. But I don't think that mid-summer 14th month payments are all that common here. (Particularly for a start up, I would think.)

Two approaches - you can simply ask your employer (makes sense if you're working out your budget) or wait until the end of the year and see what develops.
Cheers,
Bev

Thank you Bev.

Apparently, my employer isn't giving me a 13th month salary, even though the contract s under Convetion Collective Nationale. I'm guessing it's not manadatory even in this case.
