Hi,

This might be a pretty easy question to answer (or not!)

We're applying for a spouse visa and looking at documents for the proof of our relationship part. We don't have a shared bank account but we did have a system where I would just pay for everything and my partner would send me money. How would I highlight that in the application? We have my partner's bank statements in there already as proof of income - should I include a note explaining this?

Thanks

You say that your partner would send you money. Are you living apart, and, if so, how long?

We basically lived together as in we stayed at each other's apartments 7 days a week but we never formally moved in together before we got married (if that makes sense). And now I'm back in NZ going through this Visa process. So we don't have any joint lease agreements or anything hence why we're proving a relationship via sharing money (amongst other evidence obviously).

We've only been apart a month. When we were living in the same country we shared expenses for everything via my partner transferring me money.
