Hi,
I have a family sponsored offshore GSM application and at the time of lodging I was assessed by ACS as Computing Professional (NEC)

I re-assessed myself and now I am Computing Professional specialised in C/C#/C++ which is in CSL.
I contacted DIAC and was told I am not allowed to change nomination at the moment.

I was wondering if it would be easier and faster for me to withdraw my application and lodge a new one with the new ACS assessment which gives me priority processing and I might be able to go to AU in less than a year rather than 2013.

Any thoughts is appreciated
Cheers

Hi nicrox,

If you withdraw your application and lodge a new one won't you have to pay the application fees again? I'm not sure but it's something to consider.

Well, yes
I will have to pay the fees again, but it is important for me to go to AU as soon as possible.

What I'm uncertain is has anyone heard of any legislation changes that allows change of nomination?
DIAC person emailed me about change of nomination did say that they are expecting a regulation amendment that enables applicants to switch nomination as long as it is under the same category.

Cheers

If you keep waiting for changes to come in, you will never make it.. its best to withdraw the current application and re-apply. you never know what amendments they make and when. since Assessment too has a validity, it wont be worth waiting if they took too long..
