Hi

I spoke to bank person today he said " we will give you a statement showing your closing balance on current date and my name and account number will be written on the form". I said i need Asset declaration statement, he replied this is asset declaration statement.

Is he right ? Is this statement adequate to show my assets in bank?

shafqat,

i don't think so bank statement should be considered as asset declaration form. bank statement will only show how much cash is in your account that's it, no assets like car, house, etc., are covered in bank statement.

if have you taken loan from bank against any physical property/asset like for instance collateral arrangement (i.e., business installment loan, cashline - most of bank offers here in Pakistan) you can show them the letter for the same.

otherwise bank don't have any details about your assets. hope this helps.

Queensland does not consider Car, Property, House etc, they need Cash in Bank, Cash in hand also not accepted.
