Hi all,

My husband is currently in the US applying for his spouse visa.

For the past 7 months he has been in the UK on a tier 5 visa, and we have a house contract here.

When applying for his visa it's asking "country of permanent residence" and "how long have you been at your address".

To me, these both have conflicting answers. His country of permanent residence is surely US, as Tier 5 visas are only 2 years. But, we are officially living at our address here and have been for 7 moths. Should he say how long he lived at his address in the States?

Thanks so much for any help!

Hmm, well he's been on and off in the US and UK for the majority of the last 2 years on this visa and before that as a visitor. Before then he was a student living at home in the US. So, his US family address?

It's in a different section to "country of residence" Which goes with his passport details.

This is under "personal details" and the question is "what is your permanent residential address and contact details" so wouldn't that be our UK house? Because appendix 2 we've said we live together?!

Thanks :)
