Any news on Proof of PR (Verification of PR) from DHA or through vfs?

Anyone who has got it recently? When did you apply? Through vfs or DHA?

What are current timelines?

about 6 months through VFS. The ones directly through DHA take many years or never come out.

9 months later through vfs & i don't have it. And my category was exceptional (now called Critical) skills.

 

Is there a way to find out about the progress of vfs application?

Last time I called/even emailed vfs i was told to just wait for sms for collection

 

Mine was Spousal PRP (26B) applied via VFS in March 2022 and collected in August 2022 , DHA made it impossible to submit Citizenship even with my compliance docs and Proof of PRP and confirmation I haven't left the country for longer periods of time , they made me wait 8 months for1st Spousal Interview another 4 weeks for the second one and only in August 2023 I could submit , Haven't followed it it up yet . Exhausting road

 

I believe you're going to be told that it's 'approved'. Pay a visit to your DHA office of application and give us update. I believe your waiting has been long enough to get to the approved stage

 

For those who are unsure what to add when applying for Proof of PRP

If you are applying because you are submitting SA Naturalisation you an only submit PRP when its exactly 5 years since our PRP was issued

MY 26b PRP was granted in February 2017 ( applied in January 2015) - 5 years residency on a valid PRP was in February 2022

My Proof of PRP took 5 months ( Applied in March 2022- collected in August 2022 via Durban VFS ) and these are the documents I have included for those who might need guidance

PRP Certificate - certified copy
ID Book - certified copy
Passport BIO page ( page with photo) - certified copy
Copies of all pages with entry/exit stamps
Spouse ID - Certified copy
Marriage Certified copy
Compliance docs - copies of all emails sent to Compliance at the 2 year mark from when I received my PRP ( this was proof that I am still in existing relationship with my SA Spouse)

List of ALL my trips in/out of RSA since PRP was granted with exact dates and purpose of the trip - I didn't have a lot of trips , only 2x in the first 3 years and then we entered into lockdown in 2020 so i have not spent too many days outside of RSA

Filled online form at VFS website , paid VFS fee of R1550 and DHA fee of R100 , attended appointment , paid for tracking sms but this never worked and only found by accident when i checked VFS tracking that my Proof of PRP outcome was ready for collection
