Hi,

I am filling online application currently for employer sponsored 457 visa.

Since I am currently working with an organization and would be relieved of mu duties in the future date (say May end), I am not able to fill the end date for my current employment in the Previous employment section.

Did any of you face this problem? What is the workaround?

Please help!!

Regards,
Lovekesh

You probably have to fill in a date and can not leave it blank?

If so I would put the same date that you have put down for the new job to start or when will enter Australia. There should be space somewhere to put extra info to explain

Problem is system for online application is not allowing me to enter any future date. The date has to be in past.

I cant even find anywhere in their online portal how to fill this section in case of existing employment.

How odd though I think someone mentioned this recently and they put it as the date they submitted the form, again with an explanation.

I would agree with Shel. The 457 visa application form has many flaws and I think DIAC should really make an effort to fix those, as oftentimes, it means that you are FORCED to enter incorrect information.

I guess will call DIAC on their helpline numbers and ask for the same else would give some date with explanation as Shel mentioned.

Update guys: I called DIAC and they mentioned that its a bug so kindly put the date of application as the end date and in any case the resume being attached will give the true picture

Thank you for letting everyone know. Something to remember as I'm sure they wont fix it and people will still be posting with the same query in a year!
