Hi....I have a private cover and don't have medicare (as on 457 visa) and have completed the waiting period required for pregnancy cover.

Would like to know what is the best way to go for antenatal appointments and delivery in Melbourne in a cost effective manner.

Private insurance provide inpatient hospital cover but will have to pay for obstetrician/specialist.

Anyone who has delivered baby in Melbourne on 457 visa, Please provide suggestions for antenatal appointments and delivery in public/private hospital which will be cost effective. Any rough idea how much it would be out of pocket cost.

Much appreciate your help.
