So it's getting down to that time, and I want to just go over everything here to just make sure everything seems right and I am not missing anything.

US Wife Looking to stay with UK husband

Me and My Fiancé are getting married at a civil ceremony in NH on March 26. With the ceremony since it's at the town hall and with their JP we get the Marriage Certificate the next day.

We then plan on doing the application process in the days following. Does that seem to soon?

As far as the supporting Documents go:

Proof of relationship:
We have photos, cards, letters, phone bills, and tickets from when we traveled around new england via coach together, and plane tickets from each others visits, obviously we will have our marriage certificate.

Finances:
He has stable full-time work, as a Night Support Worker in a Rehabilitation / specialist care home. He makes about £980-£999 after taxes. We took out a loan a few months ago for wedding expenses and such, so he had £4K in his bank account in Feb. Prior to that around £1k a month in his bank account roughly.
We can get his mother to co-sponsor us, and she makes around £1500-£2000 a month.

Accommodation:
He is on a joint mortgage with his mother on the house ( 3 Bedroom ) Where we will be staying after the visa is approved. He pays £335-£370 per month for the mortgage / household expenses.

I have been here in the UK with him, in this house, with him supporting me entirely for the past 6 Months on a visitor visa, so I have not been working. I only have around 750 $USD in my checking account back in the USA, and thats when my tax returns came in in Feb. Prior to that my account has just been deactivated as I left it inactive when I came to visit the UK. Will this help my chances?

He is missing his Feb and Dec payslip, but there are regular deposits from the same company into his bank account and he has all the other payslips. - Can we just disclose this in the letter?

If I can think of anything else to add or ask I will, but if you need more info let me know. Does our application seem viable? I would like to able to fly back to the UK with him to our home after out marital visit to the US is over, Well be heading back no later than 12-13th of april, and paying for priority, and NYC is only about 3 Hrs from where we are located, so mail isnt very long. So I am hoping, and generally freaking out / stressing.

Your fiance needs to have £105.95/week left over after paying rent and council tax. This can be accomplished by a combination of salary and savings. If he can has this amount or more, then it really isn't necessary for his mother to co-sponsor.

It is strongly advised that you do not book flights before your receive your visa.

We have around £165-£166 afterwards if I'm doing my math properly. But that seems borderline to me. So I should I feel more comfortable with a co-sponsor? We have no children btw.

I know this, but they expect to see an itinerary, which I will send them a screenshot of my plans to have my visa dated for April 10th. To have my passport in hand with the visa before the 13th would be best. Applying at the latest on the 28th, hopefully if they aren't too much of a wait with the bio-metrics appointment I can have everything sent out before March 31st. Paying for priority processing and being close by, and hoping that my visa will be in hand in around 2 weeks or so?

Anyone have any experience with the A.Briggs visa Expediting/Courier Service and if playing them another 300 USD on top of the Priority help me at all? I just want all this visa stuff done and over with. I have been stressing out endlessly for months.

I understand that you're stressing out but £107/week would maybe be borderline. £165-166/week left over is a nice cushion. They are looking for £105.95/week and if your future husband meets that nicely, I don't think even bother to look at co-sponsor information. Also, should your future mother-in-law agree to co-sponsor you, she needs to know that she is legally liable to support you financially should your future husband fail to be able to support you at some time.

Try searching through some older threads, but I think the generally consensus is that it's not really worth it to use an expediting service.

From my understanding they just bring your documents to the consulate? Or do they walk you through the process? I'm really confused about the Expediters

ALSO; Will it help me if Ive been in the UK with him sponsoring me completely for the past 6 Months?
I am a licensed Cosmetologist should I enclose my diploma, license and certification to show I can find work?

And as for proof of accommodation...
Would we be required to have a guaranteed copy of the title register?
What I have is a Completion of Registration form the land registry
I have a Valuation of the Mortgage
A copy of the Re-mortgage
A paper from the Birmingham City Council about the Current council tax
Gas Bill with my husbands name
and the HM Land Registry from the Previous owners ( From 1977 )
Which inside has a certified map of the national grid plans and map of the house.

What are the ideal documents to send? and do I have anything here that is suitable as evidence of accommodation or should I have to order paper from the Land registry?

I can also include photos of the house, as that's no issue.
The house is currently on the market, but they haven't sold it yet. Does this affect anything?

Just wanted to follow up and let you know that I did in fact recieve my spousal settlement visa. A lot of people don't typically follow up, but I figured I would. Remember, what worked for me my not work for you because it depends on each indiviudial case, but I'd just like to follow up and say YES I recieved my Visa, from the day I applied online ( 27th ) They recieved my documents on the 2nd ( overnight shipping ) and I was issued my visa today, the 4th. Just hang in there to those who are waiting and thank you to Joppa and the rest of the people on the forum, I couldn't have done it without everyone's help and support!

wow, that was quick.

My husband and I are just about to start the process. We got married in the US at the beginning of April and I'm now back in the UK. It sucks being apart already. We are gathering all our documents and hoping that the process is quick.

Did you end up paying for the quicker service? We are thinking about doing it but not sure if it's worth it or not?

Glad you got your visa and so quickly too.. Well done :)
