Hi guys, how are you all? Recently I try to find which type of visa category I can apply for my 9 year old son, but still can not find the right answer. I hope someone can help me with the right answer.

I'm Malaysian, my husband is Italian, the EEA national. I first came to London with EEA Family Permit and last year I got the 5 year residence card. Now I wish to bring my son (9 year old, Malaysian, from previous marriage) come to UK and live with us. Because I missing my son so much, I don't want to live without him. On my divorce document, I have given sole responsibility right over my son.

Last week me and my Italian husband went to a solicitor, I explain to him the situation, he told me that I can apply the "Extended Family Visa" for my 9 year old, Malaysian Son. But another solicitor said it should be "EEA family Permit". which one should be the right answer? Can anyone please help me?

Your help will be very appreciate, from me and my son.

It's EEA family permit you need as direct family member. You need to show he is your son, such as birth certificate (professionally translated) and court document giving you sole responsibility. Read https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...rect_family_members_of_eea_nationals_v5_0.pdf
Thanks Joppa for your answered, you are ours Hero.

I've read the link you posted on here, but I can not find the application form for apply "direct family members" can you please post for me? or I should apply on "https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome" this website?
