Hi all. My partner and I would like to move to BC. I am a part-qualified CIMA accountant. Having reviewed the NOC listing, it's not clear to me whether I need to be fully-qualified to be classified as an accountant for the federal skilled worker stream. By the time we (might!) get to Canada, I will almost certainly be qualified, but I'm not quite there at the moment.
The application form makes no reference to being qualified, only experienced. I'm not particularly interested in the "public accounting" aspect, so the regulations should not restrict me finding work, and I have certainly seen several jobs being advertised as part-qualified positions.
So my question is, can I legitimately apply as a federal skilled worker before becoming a fully-qualified chartered management accountant?
All help most appreciated.
Thanks.
