Hi,

My parents are planning to submit an application for visitor visa(600).
My father retired in 2001 and doesn't have a retirement certificate.
My mother is a housewife. Basically they haven't filed any tax returns.

As for assets ,they just have couple of fixed deposits.
Can someone help me with documents that my parents would need.

In what cases sponsor form(1149) is filled? I asked few of my friends who got their parents to Australia and they suggested not to fill sponsorship form.

Please advise.

They do not ask for the Income tax returns anymore. But if they are going to stay with you, draft a letter of commitment stating that they will be at your place, you will take care of all their expenses including flights, medical, food, stay etc. Also if you could provide a copy of your bank statement it will help.

I have recently applied for my parents visa with all of the above documents.
