Hi,

I'm preparing to apply paper based GSM 176. I have following queries/doubts, it would be great if someone can clarify my doubts.

1. I'm currently in US, what is the mode of fee payment? I've gone thru the instructions in DIAC site, but it is confusing.

2. I understand that I need to submit all the documents thru courier, so should the documents (certificates, experience letters, etc) should be color scanned copies? or it should be notarized copy?

3. I'm planning to frontload the medicals, should I mention the TRN number in the medicals? if so should I first lodge the 176 application and wait for the TRN and then ask the clinic to include my TRN in their report? or DIAC would be able to map by passport/name?

Thanks

I've managed to find the answer for my first two question. Could anybody please clarify my following questions

2. How we will know the CO allocation for paper based application? and if all the documents are met ? Will I get any email notification from CO?

I highly appreciate your response.

Hi Auzze, are you sure you want to apply for 176 ? Don't you think you'd get visa by may ? I mean diac is already processing Oct - Dec right now, so by may i'm sure Jan - March should be processed. This is just my speculation/opinion its up to you of course.

There is someone here called rgogada who applied both 175 + 176 paper and got the visa, maybe u should drop him a message for full details.

JBY - I understand the DIAC is processing the application fast. According to their official site note, they have CO allocated for till mid of Aug, though we see many of sep/oct candidates got CO allocated in this forum, I'm just going with/relying on what is said on DIAC site. I've applied by end of Jan, in next 2.5 months I'm not sure if they will allocate CO. I dont want to take a chance here (even there is 99.9% SOL will not be an issue). So I'm proceeding with paper based 176, already sent the fee to embassy and waiting for the receipt to file the application. I know very well this is an additonal waste of 3K, but thinking this as an insurance to avoid any last minute surprise.

I'm in touch with rgogada thru PM and he is helping me with his inputs.

Dear Auzee,
I would like to congratulate you first for your visa approval.
I would like to ask you one question related to your medical. I have also applied for gsm 175 (online) and gsm 176 paper based application.
My question to you is, have you submitted same medical report for both of the applications?
Look forward to hear from you!
Best Regards

I've reused the medicals submitted for the earlier VISA. CO gladly accepted. I believe CO will accept if there is not much gap in duration between the second application and the first one.

Dear Auzee
Thanks for such a prompt reply. So for medical, you filled online application medical form or you used paper based application medical form?
Best Regards

Medical reports are tagged to passport number, so it will directly appear to CO. In case if CO asks just point that you have already submitted medicals for other application and give him the reference (TRN/File # details).

Dear Auzie,
Thanks for all the support! Today, I received an email from adelaide gsm team. In the subject it was stated "Assessment Commenced" along with three files namely,
Assessment Commensed.pdf
Visa application summary.pdf
Client Service information.pdf.

It appears to be system generated email and it states my CO name. Does that mean that i should now submit my medical and PCC? or should i wait for CO to ask for it.

Thanks Pal.
:)

I believe CO is assigned, you can go ahead and submit your PCC no issues in submitting PCC even if CO is not assigned.
