Hi everyone,

We are just filling out the online settlement visa application (husband/cat A) and it asks about his monthly earnings.. is the applicant required to submit 6 months wage slips in the supporting documents as well or just the sponsor?

Only submit evidence required to meet the financial requirement. So if sponsor's income is sufficient, you don't need to. Elsewhere they ask you as applicant whether you are in work, in which case just submit one payslip, employment letter or contract.

Yeah we meet the financial requirements with sponsor salary only so wasn't going to bother putting any in. I've seen plenty of doc check lists where applicant wage slips are unecessary but it just made me wonder with them asking the question about his work and earnings on the online form if they needed any evidence. It shouldn't really count for much anyway should it given he will be leaving his job to move over to the UK?

The question is puzzling but I suppose they are trying to get more information about the applicant.
