Hi everyone,

We've just completed out online application for my wife's spouse visa, scary!

Since I'm visiting here in the US we're worried about sending my (the sponsor's) passport in with the application, as I won't be able to get home if it isn't sent back quick enough.

I see that it says to include a "copy" of the sponsor's passport, so my question is does it have to be a certified copy, or will a scan/photocopy do?

Thanks everyone for your continued support!

A regular photocopy will suffice, as the UKBA will be able to cross-reference the data thereon with that already held by the Identity and Passport Service of the Home Office.
