Well, so much for spending 65 euros for assimil in French since I thought I would have time to learn a bit more before my appointment !! I just got my letter from the OFII for an appointment on June 22nd!

Now I'm a bit concerned with the fact that I will be working for the family in September with a contract but I'm working for them 2 days a week, to slowly introduce me to the children, under the table. The paper states that I need to bring a work contract if I have one.. But I don't have one at the moment, so do I tell them that I'll start work in September with a contract? I was told that if I have to take the French classes that they would work with my schedule too... I hope so...

You don't have a work contract at the moment, so no problem.

You probably should mention to them that you have an offer from a family for September on, and they might even help you sort out some of the paperwork on that! (The OFII is generally pretty friendly and easy to deal with.)
Cheers,
Bev
