Hi all,

Hope someone can help us. We just noticed this morning that our agent made a mistake on our eoi. Of course we can't get through to her. She put employment history down as the 7th instead of the 21st on the eoi. Which would mean we got the eoi with 70 points instead of 65. We now have the 70 points as the error was only two weeks.

We have paid for the visa already and we can't get through to our agent. We are obviously panicking here.

Has anyone any advice they could give?

Thanks in advance.

I can imagine your restlessness, but to put you at ease: I am sure they will consider this as an honest mistake, send you the consent form to have your application considered at reduced points and process it further because 65 isn't a bad score at all and you were just a few weeks away from getting promoted to 70 points anyways. Needless to say, your agent should leave aside everything and get onto your case and on the phone with DIBP very first thing in the morning on Monday and see to it that this issue is sorted out immediately.

A few such cases (where consent was sought from the applicant to have their application considered at lower points) I know from the past:

And just to clarify, as of yesterday we do actually have 70 points. So we're safe to assume they're won't be any problems?

Thanks again.

No, don't assume anything yet because the points you were invited at were more than you were actually eligible for at the time of invitation. Your points claims being correct now (after the invitation) does not automatically set things right.

Could you connect with your agent?
