I’m not confident that the UK tax office is going to deliver my tax assessment within the 4 week time line. I posted of the request on the 12th of February 2012. I rang the 0845 number on 2nd of March and they confirmed my letter hand been send. I asked to be transferred to the person dealing with my request but was denied. I’ve stated on the request that it was urgent and provided proof of this with the Australian points test document. I turn 40 in May.

As I come under the UK and Irish revenue I send them a tax assessment request as well at the same time. Contrast this, I rang the office and pointed out my situation. I had it two days later.

If your letter was already sent it might be worth lodging your application and, later, updating it with additional documents as they arrive. It might take 5-7 working days for your latter to arrive (I presume you are in the UK) so you should get it soon.
