Hi,

Good day. I am working in UK for the last 8 months on ICT Tier 2 category and recently I brought my wife to live with me. When I tried to register in NHS and asked for a consultation, I was told that I need to pay for the consultation(including scanning, blood test etc).

My colleagues have informed me that NHS care is free for people who are ICT Tier 2 and their partners as the NHS surcharge is already being paid as part of the visa application.

I am ready to pay the fees but I am just trying to understand if I need to pay for any of the NHS services for my wife. My wife is currently pregnant and I want to get a mid wife and go for scanning in her 6th Month. I also have a health insurance for myself and for my wife, in case if I need to use them.

Thanks for checking this post. Any inputs will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Krish
