How do utilities work in Dubai? If I live in an apartment tower, will I pay any utilities on top of my rent?

If I live in a villa (say Arabian Ranches), are utilities included in rent?

If they are not included in rent, how much do utilities typically run for a ~2,500 sq ft. villa?

Utilities are "usually" not included, but some complexes will include aircon (chiller).

Our electricity and water (DEWA) bill is as low as 400dhs/Month in Winter and up to 2,000dhs/Month in Summer.

There are a number of variables though; having a lawn will cost a lot in water, and running the a/c throughout the day & night will also mount up the cost.

Another thing to consider is the housing fee which can be added to your DEWA bill, or paid by the landlord. Worth checking it out before you sign the contract.
