Hi,

I'm flying to Dubai next week from Denmark, Copenhagen. I would love to get in touch with other people working with IT or in startups or entrepreneurs in Dubai. I would like to hear more about your experiences etc.

Also if you have any suggestions on what not to miss out on or anything exciting happening within the next three weeks let me know.

Rossi "why?":

Well, basically I want to know more about the scene there, the challenges and learn from others ' experiences.

Why?

Because I would like to startup a company in Dubai and at the same time I'm also interested in just working there to get a feeling of life there.

Why?

I have worked in IT operations, doing system administration / oracle apps / dba / linux / aws for years. But always had an entrepreneur in me and I have actually tried being part of a startup a few times. Now I'm thinking that Dubai is the right place to startup a company and the right place for me live in.

Why?

Well, mainly because I have developed & releaed an iPhone app lately and at the moment developing a webapplication for the same stuff. It's mainly about arabic ebooks. Need you to sign a NDA before I say more

I think Dubai is the right place because I have been missing the sun living in Denmark most of my life and it's seem like a fun place and a central place for business in ME. I also like metropolitan cities and Dubai seems like one.

So, some of the above are my assumptions, I would like to get these confirmed.

I haven't looked so no I haven't found a job in Dubai yet, and haven't started a company in Dubai yet either. I'm hoping to either start up a company or find a job and then slowly start a company up. It all depends on... For now I'm coming to Dubai end of rhe week to check out the possibilities.
I'm still working for a danish startup which I have been doing for the last two years which is btw doing really well and I really like the job and the company. :0)
