when does dibp release it?

DIBP used to announce new lists and occupation ceiling around 15th May, but this year is exceptional as lists were updated on 19th April and DIBP clarified that MLTSSL & STSOL will be updated once again on 1st July 2017.

Accordingly, occupation ceiling can be announced at anytime and maximum by 1st July.

Egyman, when and where has DIBP clarified this? I've been assuming that it was unclear if there will be another update on 1 July.

Random question, kind of related.
Is it safe to assume that if an Occupation is not yet full (for ex. Veterinarians with a max of. 1000 and only 124 filled), there is a shortage in Australia on it?
I mean, if I am arriving in Australia and suddenly I would like to do a change in my life and become a Veterinarian (do the studies / maybe even attend some special courses and specializations), should I be safe on landing a job in this field of Animal Care? - this should be treat as an example.

Much love,

Much love,
If the job is on MLTSSL and still not enough applicants, then there could be a geniuine shortage of applicants

If it's on STSSOL, then maybe none of the states want that skill and that's why they have not sponsored anyone

So just don't blindly assume that the skill is in shortage by seeing the number of available visas and the number granted

Cheers
