Hello
Im looking to experience spain and thhe outdoor lifestle. My daughter is just about to leave school and go on her own adventure so I feel the time is right for me and mine. Im a single 41 woman looking for somewhere cheap to stay, hopefully central to the beach and somewhere near by that I could socialise, would be great if I could learn the Spanish too.

Adventures and Experiences can be different things. You did not say if you were looking for paid employment. Don't inform me that you will pick up a job waiting on tables or some similar work, because you probably have no chance in obtaining decently paid employment.

But, to try and answer your interest:- I suggest you arrive no earlier than late September as rental prices will decrease then. Off season you can pick up a good apartment, 2 bedrooms, in a decent resort for about €550.00 per month. If you book through an agency you will pay more and pay the usual finders fees, commissions etc. It's the "etc" that will cost you bigtime.

Psyche yourself:- Unemployment was never as high. A job in McDonalds (if there is a McDonalds) is a position to be cherished. The Spaniards do not have the know-how, the will or the cop-on to bring themselves out of recession. If this offends, then show me proof that I am wrong - I hope I am wrong!

The Good Story:- By renting (not buying) you are not burning your boats. Leave plenty of room for a favourable retreat. If you are working in the UK don't even think of giving it up.

You've been warned!!!!!!!!
