hi, i will be going over to Dubai soon. the company are willing to pay me about DH 10500. Im still waiting for the contract.
But on phone what they said is that accomdation will be provided shared with 2 others in an apartment. and hp bills amd medical bills will be covered. im just going alone. so what im just wondering if the salary will be enough for me to survive and save some money. And also is the recession affecting the country and expat over there?
im kind of a little worried. Please advise me on what would be a fair deal for me..

hi again, i had received my contract. it i will be getting 10400 dh shared accomodation will be provided but not the utilities bills. also its a 6 days work.
can anyone advised if these will be enough to survive and have some saving? i will be a contract worker in dubai.

Same standard answer to all such questions - depends on your lifestyle. Do you eat out a lot, go drinking, etc...
Things to further consider - where will you be staying, will you need a car, flights provided?

Unless this job is a big step up for you career-wise, or you plan on coming to dubai mainly for the experience and not to make money, i suggest your quality of life will be much better in singapore.

Thanks Shinjuku. anyway, it will be a construction job. anywae, i will be living in a shared apartment with 2 others and the utilities will be shared among 3. Actually, i dont need a car as i do not have a driving license yet.
well.. i will be coming over on the 10th of December. I accepted this job mainly for the experience and also it might be a big leap in career.
drinking should be a need then.. hope members can intro some place for cheap drinks..
