Hi Experts,

I have completed BTECH in Electronics and Communication Engineering and working in an MNC as a core engineer (Switch and IP) at present. I have 5 years of experience in Telecom field. I need advice from experts for below mentioned points:-
1. Is my study and work experience comes under ICT i.e. Telecommunications Engineer (263311) or Telecommunications Network Engineer (263312) ?
2. Can i claim points for work in identified future growth areas?
3. Can i claim points for work in areas of absolute skills shortage?
4. Can i claim points for qualification in identified future growth areas?
5. Can i claim points for qualification in areas of absolute skills shortage?

Please help me with your valuable feedback. Thanks in advance.

Hi Har Ranjit,

1. Is my study and work experience comes under ICT i.e. Telecommunications Engineer (263311) or Telecommunications Network Engineer (263312) ?
YES

2. Can i claim points for work in identified future growth areas?
NO, You can claim these points only if you have a job or job offer in NZ

3. Can i claim points for work in areas of absolute skills shortage?
Yes. However, there is a doubt bcoz Bachelor degree (Level 7) specialising in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering and Technology is listed in LTSSL, not Electrical and Communication. There are so many people around facing the same issue. Maybe, they can guide you more on this part.

4. Can i claim points for qualification in identified future growth areas?
No. You need job or job offer in NZ

5. Can i claim points for qualification in areas of absolute skills shortage?
Yes

I know jawahar, who is on this forum, facing same situation.

Or else you can contact a registered NZ Immigration consultant to help you with this situation.
