We have a complex of 9 houses two swimming pools the builder did not position the septic tanks according to the plans. We ended up with a septic tank in each of the of the swimming pool areas instead of a total of 6 tanks shared between the 9 houses at the front of our houses. The builder did not have approval from Paphos Council to change the position of the septic tanks. The houses were built 12 years ago.We have been discussing with Paphos Council for the past 3 years the builder has come up with a temporary solution which is not acceptable. Is it in our interests to take legal action.

Communal charges what is the law with regards to owners who spend 3 months of the year in Cyprus to paying towards having septic tanks emptied each week.

I have never heard of septic tanks being emptied weekly.

If something the builder did wrong means this has to happen then it should be the builders responsibilty to pay for it to be done.
