This thread is for all of those who plan to move to Sydney in 2017.

The purpose is to build contacts as well as get useful information about accommodation, cost of living, job market etc.

Post your name, tentative date of travel and what in formation you need. Good luck ;)
Hi Friend,

can anyone confirm if spouse IELTS/PTE is considered valid only for one year?

thanks for help.

yes. This is the requirement for Functional English. At least 4.5 across the different components, with the test completed not more than 12 months before lodging the visa application or during visa processing

good luck

I know Singapore as well as Qantas allows 40 + 7 KG on one way ticket. In fact, Qantas allows 45 kg for one way ticket. Both of these are not budget airlines, but then you gotta compromise something.

Not sure about other airlines.

Even air asia allows 40 kgs in flat bed tickets ...this is cheaper than Qantas

Well my daughter would be 3 and a half year old by then. So I still reckon, i would have other factors to play with.

What about you? have you sorted your suburb

I have 2 school goers (with 1 in high school), so I am losing hairs trying to identify suburbs with a combination of good public & high schools
