Hi All

I am new in this forum. I am from Delhi, moving to Sharjah next month. the monthly compensation i have been offered is AED 20000.
Can any one please help me in understanding the cost of living in Sharjah and whether it will possible to make some saving out given package. will live with wife and one 3 year old kid.

1- Can you suggest some good localities for residence. where generally more Indian families are based out and which is closer other locations necessary for day to day routine. what a 1bhk in good apartment, will approx cost for?

2- what will be transport mode and expense for daily travel to office which is based at Hamriyah free zone

3- A roughly estimate of other expense..electricity, water, domestic help, school fee and other monthly exp ?

Thanks in advance

20000 seems like a great amount and you can live in a the most expensive areas of Sharjah in about

5000 AED per month.
You'll have to take Bus untill you get your own License
School Fee's is a bit expensive but I think you'l be able to manage
Other Bills etc will not cost more than 1000

Thanks a lot Raheel.....this is useful and will add further comfort to me.
Also, can you further help me by naming out few localities suitable to stay with families and within a budget of AED 4 - 5 k per month. Preference is to stay in apartment having all basic amenities... security, garden, play area for kid etc. and can get some Indian families around.

I've only been to Al-Wahda street mostly there are apartments in the area, try to look around in Sharjah Corniche area there are parks, playlands etc so it's a good place for family.
