Hey folks,
just looking for a little bit of guidance.
my girlfriend and i are looking to emmigrate to Australia.
I am a chef with over 12 years of expierence and my G/F is a bank manager.
It looks like our best option is state sponsored visa 176, how does it affect the chances of approval that we are not married??

We have been given a choice of Capital territory, Tasmania, Victoria or Western Australia, would we be given the choice of which one of these area's we would want to move to or be placed by the goverment.

Sorry if these questions sound basic.

If you are opting for state sponsorship, then you need to pick the state that is sponsoring your occupation and apply directly to them. Once granted state sponsorship and your visa, you will have a moral obligation to live and work in the sponsoring state for a minimum of 2 years.

Provided that you can prove that you are in an ongoing serious relationship and have lived together for at least 12 months, then there should not be any sort of complications.
