Moving to Denmark - some advice, please!

I am moving to Denmark early next year and could do with some advice about how to do it... My ideal would be to hire a van in the UK transport me, my stuff and the dog and return the van to a location in Denmark. (Or perhaps as a part load with someone else going to Denmark, or as a return trip for someone going the other way.) All other methods I have looked into are either very expensive and/or awkward.

Has anyone got any good advice - or will I just have to bite the bullet and return an empty van back to the UK?

I am based in Cornwall, with not much furniture and a small, friendly dog!
