Hello All

I'm a holder of long stay visa / entrepreneur.
When I arrived to France, I have been told that I must send application to OFII to get a sticker on my passport or something like that.

I sent the application while I was staying in temporary address.

Then I moved to my own rented studio, 1 month later, I called the owner of the temporary home and asked if they received any letters for me, and she replied yes! and of-course I missed my appointment.

I sent an email to Marseille OFII, but I received no reply.

What I'm supposed to do? taking In consideration I don't speak French yet ( start a language course, but can't communicate yet)

You waited a month before checking for mail received at your previous address, knowing that you were waiting for an appointment...

Did you not know that you can have your mail forwarded to your new address when you move? Just go to the Post Office.

As it is, you will have to start over. You don't speak French but do you not know anyone who does who can help you?

Missed appointments mean wasted time for the administration services, and wasted time is wasted money.

Normally, they'll give you one "mistake" - if you miss the first appointment they send, you can usually get a second one. Go to the OFII in person. They're generally pretty tolerant of newcomers who don't speak much French (more so than most government offices). Explain the situation and either they will make an appointment for you on the spot or register your new address and send you a new appointment for the next available OFII session for newcomers.

Miss that appointment at your own peril, though. (That's why you want to make sure to register your new address with them.)

If you get another appointment, please don't miss it because there are huge numbers of people wanting appointments and no doubt many who would have been overjoyed to have yours. Plus you are wasting government funding.
