Hi we're looking at moving over later this year and have 2 girls aged 10 & 14 and would really appreciate some advice on which are the best 5 or 6 co-ed schools (private or government) to research/ visit.

We'll choose the region to live based on which are the best academic schools so not tied down to an area.

Many thanks in advance.

That's a tough question as it really depends on what you want.

There are some really great Private schools, and religious schools are classed as private in Australia, that achieve great education outcomes.

However some government schools have better education outcomes than private schools.

Some private schools have lower than average outcomes because they focus on educating kids from lower socio economic backgrounds.

Australian schools, compared to UK & Ireland schools, are more holistic in their approach to education.

check out www.myschool.edu.au it's not designed to be a league table, it's designed to compare statistically comparative schools so it's important to look at the Socio economic data of schools you're comparing. If you don't you're not comparing Apples to Apples
