Hello Experts,
Can any one of you please let me know the medical facilities for 189 holders?
Are 189 holders eligible for free medical check up like how NHS in UK?

Also, how difficult is to get doctor's appointment? Kindly let me know.

189 visa holders are eligible for Medicare, no different to the rest of the permanent residents and citizens in Australia.

Also, you're advised to carry private health care, which allows for more care to be covered, avoid waiting lists, attend private hospitals/physicians, etc. It will cover *most* things medicare does not or expedite the process to get the service rather than going through medicare.

Having said that, what're you looking for is generally covered under Medicare - here's a longer list of what they do and do not cover: [www].privatehealth.gov.au/healthinsurance/whatiscovered/medicare.htm
