Friends,

I have 60 points and I am eligible for PR for Australia. I am planning to apply PR for me and file PR for my wife and kids after I reach australia. Is this possible ? OR I have to file for them also when I apply for me ?

Thanks

You have to include all the dependants along with your application. Even the non-migrating ones. They will have to provide medicals, pcc, complete forms, etc. And also there is a visa fee for each person, main immigrant is around 3600, any dependant over 18 is around 1700, and below 18 is 880 aud.

My question to you is: Why you want to do that?
Even if you will not include them in your application you will still have to provide medicals and PCC for them.
Moreover, applying for them after you get your PR granted will be more expensive with a lot of hassle and processing time.

My advise to you is to submit one application for the whole family..

Best of luck

If there are no changes in fees for dependants, then it will be the same amount as of now+ wait period for 4-6 months after applying.

No it wont. A spouse visa costs $6000 with child dependents plus the cost of medicals for each person and pcc for the wife and sponsor. They will already have paid and done them for the OP application as they are required because they are dependent but will need to be redone.

Also a spouse visa takes 12 months to be granted during which time you will be seperated.

Let me put my question like this :

1. In general how much is the total costs (pls give breakups) for My PR, My wife PR and My Kid PR if I file jointly.

2. In general how much is the total costs (pls give breakups) for My PR, My wife PR and My Kid PR if I file PR for them after 6 months after I reach Ausy.

3. What are the problems or advantages in both scenarios.

This question is for _shel cos you say its $6000

sorry if my questions are elementary

thanks
GA.

How about you go on the DIBP site and use their fee calculator rather than asking us to do your math for you.

did you by any chance read skill select, and other threads in this forum? None of us here are agents or immigration specialists. We at best try to help people who needs guidance. Suggest you do some reading before posting - asking forum member to write an essay about pros & cons is just a little too much
