Hi

A requirement of the skilled migration visa is to have worked 12 out of the 24 months. My wife is the primary applicant and she was on (paid) maternity leave for 4 months before resigning from her position. (she worked another 2 months after submiting her letter of resignation)

We were under the impression that the paid maternity leave would count towards those 12 months. A letter requesting more information from our case offer suggests (we have not asked out-right) that the maternity leave does not count.

Does anyone know for sure if it does or does not?

Thanks

If I remember correctly as long as it was paid maternity leave you can add that into the 12 month equation.

Hopefully, someone can clarify for you. Or why not ask one of the agents who post on here. Veronkia (username SOMV) posts fairly regularly and you can contact her via her signature.

Good luck.
