Marriage to French citizen

I am an australian woman. I want to marry my french boyfriend. Can anyone please share with me what sort of process in involved and where do I go to find information regarding everything I need to do.
What has been other people experience doing it?

I live in Bayonne and so does my boyfriend. we are not sure where exactly in france we will get married but either in paris or bayonne. and we plan to live here
