We have just begun collecting our evidence for the FLRM (US to UK). One of our items of evidence is from the council tax, and is in our joint names. I have never legally changed my maiden name after marriage so all of my evidence is in my maiden name. For some reason, the council tax is in my married name (e.g. mr and mrs john and jane smith). Can we still submit this or it is not accepted as it's not my legal name?

Also, is there an issue with some letters being address to Mrs and some being addressed to Miss?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Joppa.

We just wanted to double check. I assumed the Mrs and Miss wouldn't be an issue, but the surname difference may be.

We've got all of the correspondence sorted now, I think. Some is Mrs and some is Miss. We've kept continuity with surnames though, just to be sure anyway.
