Hi there,

My husband and I are looking to move overseas. He is a licensed architect and I'm not sure what I would do for work (currently work for a wellness company; have a BA in communications and an MA in sport/exercise psychology).

We traveled through SE Asia and China a few years ago for 8 months and loved it. This time, we're thinking we should have a plan on how we can support ourselves so we can stay longer, wherever we go.

One other thing has changed since then: we have a 9-month-old daughter.

Where to go? What to do? Any direction would be great! Thanks ...

Oh, and we're currently in the US ... had to pick a country where we're moving so chose Turkey, but that is one of many places we'd like to go.

Hi jfurry,

Welcome to the forum.

I guess you could start from what languages you speak, where you can get a job, what the visas are like for countries and how long you intend to stay.

There is lots on info on moving in the Australia forum if you are thinking about Australia but depending on the type of visa it can take about 18 - 24 months to process the visa. The processing time is quicker if you are in the skills in demand list.

Regards,
Karen
