Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to live in Nice near promenade with an 3000€ gross salary per month?

What tax it will get from my gross salary? what will be my net salary?

Renting a room for about 500€ per month, it is affordable to live with this salary?

Thank you for your advice.

If you're working in France, figure that you'll have about 23 - 25% deducted from your gross salary for social insurances (depends on your job and how your employer is set up on matters like mutuelle, etc.). There is no deduction for income taxes, so you need to be prepared to settle up roughly a year later (but in installments - not one big lump sum bill).

Most landlords will expect you to have three times the rent in salary (or, conversely, your rent for lodging should not exceed 30 - 35% of your gross income).
Cheers,
Bev
