Hello! I'm wondering if anyone here lives in Fontainebleau and could give me some information about it... just like... the different parts of the city, what transportation is like, is a car necessary...

You can always start out with the town website here: Ville de Fontainebleau

You can check out the Newsletter de Fontainebleau (on the right) and if you click on the Acces et stationnement link on the left of the page, you'll find a listing of the bus and train schedules. They do have an AVF (Accueil des Villes Françaises) but they are probably wrapping it up for the summer right now. Check back with them in September.
