You didn't miss much. I was disappointed. .....
The show spent too much time on trawling over past history and insufficient attention given to Spain's current problems.

Anyone interested who missed it can listen in on the BBC Radio 4 website of archived programmes. It may be a podcast too, I'm not sure.

I would have refused to listen anyway on the basis that it would have made me an angry man because I generally find the media like to hype it all up even worse than it actually is .... if thats possible

No, they didn't do that. But half the programme dealt with the Civil War and its aftermath. Important of course...but there wasn't really much about the causes and possible solutions/outcomes of the current crisis.
