HELP!
I spent a few hours yesterday trying to register onto Le Bon Coin.

Many posts on this forum say you need to have a french number to register. I do have a french sim card that still works. It doesn't even get to that page where I can set up my passcode.

I got as far as entering my email address once I choose "create an account", For me vs company, Let's start with an email.

Then , it keeps saying

I have turned off my VPN.
I tried different browsers.
I have unblocked ads specifically for this site.
I did try with a different email.
I submitted feedback but I doubt anyone is going to see it or do anything about it.

It seems like an awesome site when browsing it without registration.
In order to locate and secure a rental and to purchase a car, I need to be registered to communicate with sellers though.

Are you familiar with this glitch or have any recommendations?

Merci,
caroline

Hi. I've been registered with Leboncoin for a few years but just last week I was blocked when trying to post an ad. It took several days to resolve and I was eventually asked to change my password. When I inquired why I had been blocked the explanation was that the AI's algorithims were to blame. Not sure if AI was blaming itself or there was someone really there. Maybe others have more info.

Hi. I have had a few sites in France block me because they suspect I am a robot - it went in for a while until I cleared my cache and cookies as recommended by Google search, and hasn’t occurred since. I have a Gmail account if you are looking for points of reference and live in France, accessing from a French WiFi (no VPN). I do have a content blocker but that didn’t seem to make any difference if on or off.
do let us know if you find a solution. It seems so random!

I hadn't tried clearing the Cache. I went to my Safari and clear the cache and that seemed to help get through and get to the next step of choosing a password and entering my french number.
But THEN, it gave me the same freakin' message " Vous avez été bloqué(e)..." !!!!:cautious:

Not sure why it is still giving me that message.
Do I have to be living in France for the French Sim card to work?
Do I have to have that Sim Card active on my phone (I am back in America) while I set up the account? I doubt it because the message the system gives is instant. Even after activating it (for this), it didn't work.

When I refresh and before I sign in, the site doesn't allow me in.

I went to Safari> settings> Privacy> unclick ‘hide ip address’ and that didn't work.

Thank you for sharing this.
I didn’t even get the chance to enter my password or French phone number.

I tried different browsers.
I have unblocked ads specifically for this site.
I have tried with or without VPN and both times it rejects.
I did try with a different email.

I sent an internal email hoping that they will resolve the matter.
Crossing fingers.
Will keep everyone posted.

Hi everyone,
I have been in communication with LeBoncoin support team. Albeit late in response, they do respond. Here is what they said:

"Hello Caroline,

First of all, I apologize for this late response.

Unfortunately, posting, ad management and Secure Payment are not available from abroad.

In this article you will find the list of border countries whose numbers are accepted on our site.

Thank you for your understanding and I remain at your disposal for any further questions.
Miriam, Leboncoin Customer Service"

I wonder if after I register when I am in France, if I can use it when I am outside the country to check on other people's ads and respond. I'll ask support and keep you posted.

Thanks for all of your help.

Caroline
