Twenty years ago I had a bus pass and an imaginary girlfriend (with staples in her belly, if you see what I mean)
Ten years ago I had a Lada and a psychotic girlfriend who I desperately wished was imaginary
Now I have moved to Dubai I can afford a much better car than I ever could in the UK (though I haven't bought one yet) and have a beautiful wife.
I guess that makes me upwardly mobile
