Recently a long-time resident said to me:

'Twenty years ago, I had a BMW M3 and birds.
Ten years ago, I had a Corvette and a bird.
Today, I have a Dubai rent-a-car and an ex-wife!'

My Corvette is in my garage in Virginia.
Going to rent a car when I get to Dubai in Feb.
Looking to buy a good used BMW when I get there.
Is a divorce next? I hope not she will get all my toys....

Twenty years ago I had a bus pass and an imaginary girlfriend (with staples in her belly, if you see what I mean)
Ten years ago I had a Lada and a psychotic girlfriend who I desperately wished was imaginary
Now I have moved to Dubai I can afford a much better car than I ever could in the UK (though I haven't bought one yet) and have a beautiful wife.

I guess that makes me upwardly mobile :D:D:D
