Couldn't believe it when I heard that Lance Armstrong is back in France for a 'charity bike ride' which goes ahead of the Tour de France today.

I'm surprised he has the brass neck to show his face here ever again as he has done more than anyone to tarnish a French institution.

Even more surprised that the French allowed this persona non grata to return.

Judging by some of the comments in French on his Facebook page he will get the welcome he deserves............

Even more interesting are the doubts he has re the performance of other riders. Certainly, there will always be doubts, but he should just shut up given his own history of drugs and denials.

There are doubts because of people like him.

The same reason athletics is a non-event now.

The man ia a cheat through and through - I heard a news story about his other affairs not being in order either - yet he insists he is 'rehabilitated'. Definitely not.
